The all steel anatomy, wide tv case & stylized dial of the RADO NCC 303 represents the year 2000, which everyone envisioned then as the year when we would all be zooming in space traffic! Well, it's 2015 & we still find ourselves stuck in road traffic! In any case, this watch reminds us of the future that could have been & the future that may still be!
NCC is a fictional designation for starships conceived within the hit futuristic space travel TV series Star Trek. NCC is not an acronym - it doesn't really stand for anything. Rather, it's a combination of a ship prefix "NS" ("Nuclear Ship"), & the Soviet Union acronym "CCCP" to show that the U.S.A. & Russia had to work together to establish the Starfleet!
RADO may have adapted Star Trek's NCC to identify its futuristic line of watches, which definitely makes sense - the concept of RADO being the watch of the future & Stark Trek being the show of the future just click perfectly together, like 2 pieces of a puzzle!
stainless steel HUGE TV Case with an octagon dial opening
satin white stylized dial or face; textured raays decorate the dial, which give the watch a retro space-age look
In the photo above, you'll see faint hairline cracks along the right edge of the crystal, which are due to age & not impact
EXTERNAL/INTERNAL CONDITION: This watch is in *NEAR MINT condition (93-97%): Showing very light signs of wear. Very faint scratches on the case, bezel, bracelet or buckle are visible to the naked eye. It is working perfectly, keeping good time & needs nothing.
