For sale is this sought-after collector's watch, the LEMANIA Telemetric. It features a well-preserved dial with clear detailing & smooth surface. The hands are its original set & have retained their black-coating.
The LEMANIA Watch Company was an established watchmaker known for its robust chronograph complications. It gained much renown when it furnished wristwatches for the British & Commonwealth armed forces during the wars. LEMANIA's notable horoligical innovations were admired by many prominent watchmaking groups. When the company was threatened by dissolution due to the quartz meltdown, giants such as Piaget, Breguet & Swatch came forward to recover the name. Simulatneous merges & alliances soon pushed LEMANIA into the shadows of bigger labels. As a result, very few LEMANIAs remain today!
EXTERNAL CONDITION: This watch is in *VERY GOOD condition (83-87%): The watch shows what might be considered normal wear by a careful owner who wore the watch regularly. Scratches are evident, but no nicks or dings. May have replacement parts. A sound, attractive presentation overall.
INTERNAL CONDITION: This watch is in *NEAR MINT condition (93-97%): working perfectly, keeping good time & needs nothing.
