The photos presented below are of the actual item for sale. Kindly study them carefully because what you see is what you will get. We try our best to describe watches as accurately as we can that's why we present them visually & literally. In case we missed a few points, you are welcome to ask questions.

This "old soldier" HAMILTON Military Watch is remarkably well-preserved: the detailing on its dial has remained crisp/clear & it has retained all original manufactured/issued parts!
The 1980s were a time of active American military intervention around the world. A notable military action was the Middle East Involvement in support of Egypt & Israel, which further developed into The Iran Hostage Crisis.
The Iran Hostage Crisis was the seizure of the American Embassy in the Iranian capital of Tehran. It ended on January 20, 1981, the month & year when this HAMILTON Military Watch had been issued. The conclusion of the crisis was Jimmy Carter's final mission as 39th President of the United States.

EXTERNAL/INTERNAL CONDITION: This watch is in *NEAR MINT condition (93-97%): Showing very light signs of wear. Very faint scratches on the case, bezel, bracelet or buckle are visible to the naked eye. It is working perfectly, keeping good time & needs nothing.
*condition descriptives mainly based on the Timezone Grading System

frosted stainless steel case & bezel
matte black dial or face

luminous-filled white-coated steel hands
Notes on the HANDS: the luminous filling has dimmed with age
painted white Standard & Military Hour Markers with corresponding luminous arrows
Notes on the HOUR MARKERS: the brightness of the luminous arrows has dimmed with age

painted white radioactive symbol at 2 o'clock
painted white "H3" at 9 o'clock
H3 is Hydrogen-3 or Tritium, which is a radioactive isotope of hydrogen that glows in the dark! That's what make the hands of the watch glow. The watch has a few microcuries of H3 to make it glow without power.
