Before the introduction of plastics into wristwatch design & the incarnation of plastic sport watches, there was the HAMILTON Grand Prix.
This primitive HAMITON Grand Prix Racer Watch features a tachymeter & a unique bottlecap bezel. It has remarkably retained ALL of its original manufactured parts over the years & its dial is in excellent condition!
EXTERNAL CONDITION: This watch is in *NEAR MINT condition (93-97%): Showing very light signs of wear. Very faint scratches on the case, bezel, bracelet or buckle are visible to the naked eye.
INTERNAL CONDITION: This watch is in *NEAR MINT condition (93-97%): working perfectly, keeping good time & needs nothing.

This tells us that this watch was manufactured during the 1970s when Hong Kong was a British Crown Cologny, opening its doors to trade. Many Swiss watchmakers began outsourcing their metal parts from Hong Kong at this time, namely, BULOVA, WITTNAUER, WALTHAM & HAMILTON.
