Charles Gérald Genta was a renowned Swiss wristwatch designer, whose company carries the same name. Genta designed his own line of timepieces as well as for other Swiss luxury watch firms like IWC, Universal Geneve, Patek Philippe & Audemars Piguet, among several others.
Gerald Genta's work was dubbed "the Fabergé of watches" by Christie's Auction House & as the "world's most complicated & pricey watches" by The Wall Street Journal.
Gerald Genta is a coveted & well-respected label that only luxury companies of equal renown are capable of guaranteeing its continuity. Gerald Genta's eponymous company was acquired by Bulgari in 1999. Then, in 2011, Bulgari was acquired by upscale French conglomerate Louis Vuitton-Moet-Hennessy. In effect, Gerald Genta watches are now products of the Louis Vuitton-Moet-Hennessy portfolio.
